CapCut IPA - What It Actually Means on iOS

An IPA is the raw installer file format for iOS apps — normally something Apple handles invisibly through the App Store, but occasionally used directly for sideloading apps that aren't officially listed, or for enterprise and beta distribution outside the App Store. Most of the emulator and niche-app guides you'll find online exist because those apps aren't on the App Store.

CapCut isn't in that category. It's developed and officially distributed by CapCut's team directly through Apple's App Store, so for the overwhelming majority of users, there's simply no need to hunt down a CapCut IPA — the App Store listing is the install.

Where an IPA does become relevant: enterprise device management (installing a specific build across company-owned devices), testing a beta build through TestFlight, or in rare cases where a specific region's App Store doesn't list the app and a business-distributed IPA is used instead. None of that applies to typical personal use.
